Retirement

I think I might stop blogging. I have several reasons for this, starting with the fact that I'm not really enjoying it anymore (sad day). I also have a lot of stuff on my plate, and I'm not really keeping up with it anyway, so I mean...

yeah.

But hey, you can still follow my stuff! My DeviantArt is here (where I actually post regularly) :) Hope you'll check it out, even though I haven't really posted much quality stuff ^^; I get lazy and don't scan things because it's a multi-step process. Have a nice life!

Merr

Sorry guys, I have like, nothing to talk about during the summer unless I'm complaining about one thing or another.

On the plus side, Cross Country just started! I feel kinda bad because I probably should have done more running this summer (as opposed to biking), because I was DYING today. I also didn't think to drink excessive amounts of water for several days before practice, so...

oops. But it's okay, because I was with cool people (a.k.a Iris and Mickey). I have practice tomorrow too, wish me luck :)

Bloggiversary!

  MAKING UP LAME WORDS WOOHOO!
Well, technically it was four days ago. But hey~ One year and four days is pretty close o3o On the actual anniversary of the blog, I was just coming home from Sky Ranch (which was awesome) and all I really wanted to do was sleep. I didn't even realize it was the anniversary. So here I am, four days later. Have a poem.

School/Summer

Okay, honestly; I am not a huge fan of summer. So yeah, the first few weeks are nice, but then what? You're (or at least I am) generally either bored or working. I wish we just had periodic smaller vacation times throughout the school year. I like school, and I can't wait for it to start back up again.
Although, there are a few things I really do like; hanging out with friends, volunteering at Scottish Rite, and camp, to name a few. Next week I am headed off to Sky Ranch, one of my favorite places. *Warning: religious jargon* I am super excited, because I'm going to be a part of their Quest program. Quest is comprised of a series of cabins (either two or four, I can't remember; equal numbers of girls and boys cabins though), where the main focus is to deepen your relationship with Christ. Now, I'm not a super religious person, but honestly, I wish I was more involved with my faith. I've had a hard time with it in the past, and I really look forward to spending time with people who may have had the same problem, and can lead our cabin along.
*Religious jargon over.*If you don't share my beliefs, I totally respect that, by the way. I'll probably update this post some time in the near future (so check this post again), but I'm tired, and I have work in the morning. Toodles~

Protest Against "Correctness"

Okay, so I'll be honest; I read and watch a lot of really weird and random stuff.

  A lot.

Some of them have animals as main characters.

Whenever I see/read one like that (regardless of what it is), they never fail to refer, at least once, to a  generality (anyone, everyone) with the prefix "any" or "every" followed by the type of animal (i.e: anycat, everymouse, etc.).

 This bothers me.
 A lot.
Allow me to explain why.

While I can understand the need to feel "correct," and make sure the viewer understands that these are animals, the terms "anyone" and "everyone" refer to any "one," as in "individual," or every "one" as in a group of individuals. This could be a human, a cat, a frog, a talking trash can, I don't care. But the terms are anyone and everyone.

.....

Really.

Not "anycat."

Blog Logic!

Hey! I learned something! When people still used boats as the main transportation, to tell how fast they were going, they would drop a certain kind of log in the water, attached by a rope with knots at regular intervals. They would count the number of knots in the rope, and however many knots they counted would signify their speed (less knots would mean a slower speed). In reference to the log they used, the term "captain's log," and even "blog" and "vlog." Yay fun facts!

Graduation

My sister graduated on Saturday.

My sister graduated on Saturday.

I can't even begin to say how much I'll miss her. The graduation ceremony was pretty awesome. Hershel Walker gave an amazing speech. The Valedictorian and Salutatorian speeches were great as well.

MY SISTER ISN'T GOING TO BE WITH ME NEXT YEAR.

As she walked over to receive her diploma, you could hear me yelling "THAT'S MY SISTER!" above the clapping.

I sat down and cried after that.

Why does she have to leave?

I'm going to miss her.

Best of luck at A&M.

Let Me Google That For You.

One of my favorite things ever is http://lmgtfy.com. I have actually used this in a previous post, although I don't think anyone actually followed the link. It's highly amusing to see people's reactions to your exasperation (from trying to get them to search something). Enjoy!

Posting Problems

It's really hard to write when you don't know what to write about. Recently, it just seems like nothing has happened that I would want to write about.

OH WAIT.

I just moved! My new house is absolutely incredible, I am so blessed to be living here. My room right now has very little furniture (a bed and two small tables), and I doubt it'll ever have much, but I love it. It's painted grey, but it looks slightly blue in certain lighting~ I love my closet too, it's really big and there's lots of space for storage. I've already unpacked all of my things (I can't find my digital pen though ;n;), and all I need to do now is clean my room.
Wish me luck! Feel free to visit and check it out~

Well.

I mean.

If you know me.

Comics~

Iris and I have started this thing; she writes a short story based on a song, and I make a comic about it. So far we've completed a grand total of one~ I forgot to do the one from yesterday, so I'll probably complete it during our spare time in Geo. It's actually quite fun, and it gives me needed practice. We came up with the idea, but feel free to use it!

*edit*

SORRY IRIS ITS JSUT NOT WORKING OUT

I'll bring you a sucky one tomorrow.

Maybe.

Study Hall Post #5

Just sitting in the second cafeteria, listening to somma mah jams with that one kid. I realized recently that I have almost no real country on my iPod, and that makes me very sad....I may just have to go on a music splurge.

Or I could just steal all of Iris's stuff.

That sounds like a good idea.

HEY IRIS WANNA TRADE I GOT SOME MODEST MOUSE/MOBLEY <3

100th Post!

Hello loyal readers, and welcome to my 100th post! To celebrate, I am taking TWO 30 day challenges, but this time it will be for drawing and not for posting. They will be :

The Tell-tale Heart

The Tell-tale Heart by E. A. Poe is probably my favorite horror story ever. More than scaring me, it makes me ponder about the insanity of humanity (which is probably now going to be my new favorite thing to say because it rhymes). I'm listening to it being read out loud by Cry on the YouTubs. He is probably the only person that can adequately read a horror story out loud, so if you like them, go to his playlist and check them out! Shout out to Iris, this is one her favorite of Poe's works.

I swear, I'm not mad.

To Iris: For you~

Questions I felt obligated to answer *interview with myself*

1.  How do you go about character creation?

Um... I don't, know?  Okay, okay, let me think.  Usually I draw them and they kind of just end up...as they are. Either that or they're not mine (drawing someone else's character from their novel or whatever).

2.  If you've written about your characters, or drawn a comic featuring them, which character is usually in focus?
...

I don't know how to answer that.

3.  Who is the last character you created?

Anya :P Although that's technically not "my" character.
4.  Do you feel dominated by your creations?

If you don't feel like that, you're doing it wrong.

5.  With which of your characters do you identify most strongly?

Thayer ;D or Tomoko :P

6.  Have you ever killed a character that you really liked or loved?

I've helped OTHER people kill them...?

7.  Which of your characters have personalities that you like?

All of the above. Except Patsy. I condemn her.

8.  Which character(s) do you hate for no reason?

Butbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbutbtubutbut...

...

Yeah, I got nothing.

9.  Do you cry when you write sad scenes?

I cry when Iris and I stay up till 5 a.m., discussing sad scenes that are going to happen.

12. Do you have a gay character?

Thyx belongs together o.o

13. Do you ever write fanfictions of your own work?

...I mean, who doesn't?

14. Which of your characters would you most want to hang out with?

No.

That is all.

Tag Memes are fun.

LOL this was fun~

Dear Iris,
This is a bit difficult for me to explain, but Abner is refusing to come out of his/her emo corner. I've known this for some time now, but I became increasingly aware of the matter when I discovered the internets while your Kismesis (???) and I saw Deirdre write a fanfiction about an innocent bystander. I'm sure you're sober enough to comprehend how important it is to brush twice a day. I'm making Katia return the genesis frog , but she insists on keeping the Jersey Shore DVDs as a memory.

Bring me a Monster and I am yours forever,
Thayer

 How to complete it:

Pencil Problems

Okay, so you know what the most irritating thing ever is? When you run out of lead. Only, all of your lead is 0.7 and every single pencil you own is 0.5 and for some reason this made sense before.

I mean, really. That's ridiculous.

Michaels is one of my favorite stores ever. I went there today because I needed to get a frame for this art piece I'm entering in a competition. While I was there, I also got a new reference book and 2 new sketchbooks (I love you, mum <3). When I got home I thought "Hey, I should go draw something because I have a new sketchpad!"

Nope.

Stupid pencils.

Genderbenders

Okay, so every day, Iris receives a writing prompt through email. Today, she has to write a fan-fiction of her book and change all the characters to the other gender. It's kind of hilarious. She's still working on it, so while I'm waiting (patiently) to read the finished copy, I am drawing all of her characters as their male/female counterparts. It is rather amusing. Sorry the pics are bad, I was using my computer cam and they're all backwards. So far I have:
Iris

Flint

Thayer, and

Deirdre.

Is it just me, or is Deirdre like, the prettiest boy ever?

Buckets Peeps~

Okay, so this one drama class, my friend and I were involved in a skit. We were allowed to use costumes, so I grabbed a couple of buckets and stuck them on our heads. We actually ended up using them in our skit (it was awesome, if you were wondering).
I then decided that, because buckets were awesome, I should draw some people with buckets on their heads. And because the guy I was with flirts with Iris....CONSTANTLY (and yes, they are adorable), I decided that they are the couple. I just finished coloring it digitally.
Her shirt says "Octocat is my hero," and his says "straight guys wear rainbows too."
DSAFHGKJFGJDKS;UYLEIOPRSCNUFEIOQWNCEHIW I LOVE IT SO MUCH X3
My love cannot be described other than the squeal of a fangirl.
Buckets are my new favorite things ever.

Musics and doodles~

I do enjoy listening to musics. Take now, for instance; Iris has offered me an earbud and we are both chilling and blogging this fine study hall. You should congratulate us on our awesome lives.
No really. You should.
I've been listening to a lot of Linkin Park and Lemonade Mouth recently. It's pretty great. I'm writing really short sentences. Just realized that. Mmm, well, I guess I need to put more complex sentences, don't I?
JUST REMEMBERED

I have my notebook, so I can finally post those pictures I said I'd draw :P
Picture 1: Iris (yay!) the character, not the person
Picture 2: Random doodles that include some people that are kind of goth I guess.
Picture 3: Minki (OC) I love her dress <3 even if I messed up her face (sorry girl)

Saint Patty's!

Might as well sum up the rest of my spring break before telling about SP day. I watched Rise of the Guardians with Iris, which wasn't amazing, but I did enjoy it. The next day, I went to see that Oz movie. It wasn't my favorite, but it was fun to be with my friends. I went roller skating with Katia and hung out at the mall (Hot Topic <3). Toward (towards? Is it 'toward' or 'towards'??? GAH I DON'T KNOW) I went out to Lake Whitney for a night. It was nice :) Long car ride though. Hung out with another friend the day I got back. We watched Mulan (which he had never seen before), and The IT Crowd (which I had never seen before). Mulan was AMAZING (as usual), and the latter was quiet amusing (lol, red door). Yay! Moving on!

So yesterday was Saint Patty's Day. First thing I did was go to church, but I didn't wear any green. Fortunately, the only person to pinch me was my brother, and he pinches me anyways. I was a little irked though, because he wasn't wearing green either (he claimed his underwear was green, but I so don't believe it). After though, I put on my Joker converse (which have green on them) so I was safe for the rest of the day. Somewhere around 12:30, my mum drove us (me & brother) out to Mesquite for our cousins' birthday party (parties? idk). They were turning 2 & 4 and it was superhero themed (which was absolutely adorable). One of my other cousins also brought his new dog. His name is Griz, and he's SUPER CUTE. He is 3 lbs, and 3 months old. I held him for approx. 3 hours (not just saying that for the sake of 3's; actually held him for 3 hours). After we left the party, I started and later finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and watched Wreck it Ralph (which was sweet--good movie). And then I doodled. So yeah.

That is all.

Spring Break~

So it's officially spring break as of yesterday, and I am about to go check out the new house :D All I've done so far this break is spend 7+ hours in a small green room with tons of younger people screaming and messing around. In other words, Oliver! rehearsal. It was actually really fun, I love being with my acting friends and working with the little bitties. Hmmmm, well that's not all that I've done so far (technically). I've also spent around an hour on deviantART and doodling, and last night I watched Life of Pi (which was *amazing*). For the rest of the break, I will be getting together with friends (mostly to watch movies and the like) and possibly go to a lake for some 'vacation time' (please, I'm cool with my staycation). Iris and I will be watching Rise of the Guardians at my house, which I am a little scared of because she LOVES IT SO MUCH that she might explode (not really. Umm....nevermind. Yes. Yes really). I will also be drawing one character overandoverandoverandoveragain so I can get used to doing that. Wish me luck~ And about my last post, I've finished the requests, but they're upstairs and I'm comfortable. Sorry guys~ next time.

That is all.

Alice

Okay, so I did the drawings, but I'm in my family room and they're upstairs and I don't feel like going up to get them so I can take pictures. So I'll post them later. Anywho, I'm reading this series called Alice in the Country of Hearts, and it's kind of a twist on Alice in Wonderland, and it's a manga. And Boris (Chesh) is awesome. I've already shipped so many of the characters.....

That is all.

Study Hall Post #4

So I'm sitting in study hall, listening to Billy Joel, when all of a sudden, I have NOTHING to do 0.0
This doesn't happen very often. I know what Iris would say:
"OMG, you should draw my characters, so I can like, fangirl!"
....not that she would say it like that. But anyway, I've decided that I will, in fact, draw. But I'm not sure exactly what. Comment? Comment on what you think I should draw, and I'll post it later.
Or at least within a few days. I know I'm only gonna get stuff from Iris, but come on guys. Please? SATISFY MY BOREDOM.

Until then, I'll just doodle my old characters ^-^

but...

Please?

That is all.

Absolutely.

Okay, admit it.

You thought this picture was awesome.

So did I.

Mr. Blogston

It's like when people get really motivated to do something, and they start, but don't go through with it. An excellent example of this is blogging.
"Oh, I think it'd be really fun to write about my life! It's gonna be so cool!"
Does it for about a week or two and quits. True story.
This also happens with a lot of other things. Fashion, making stuff, almost anything that you could jump onto the bandwagon of. And then it becomes 'less cool,' and they cease to care. Oh, they might write do it again every once in a while. But they don't commit to it. And I can almost guarantee they're going to try again after they read this, to 'prove me wrong.' Just wait.

That is all.

Study Hall Post #3

Today, we're all having our classes together. The entire grade. No, not all 60 kids, but yes, the entire grade. About 2/3 of the freshman are at Science Fair right now, which leaves only about one class' worth of students here, so we decided to 'buddy up' and travel as one. Good lord, this could be a disaster.
Today's schedule:
1st period-Study Hall
2nd Period- Drama
3rd Period- Geography
4th Period- English (in which we will be having a sub- goshdarnit, and I love that teacher, too).

This will be interesting, to say the least. Good luck at science fair to all who are attending!

That is all.

Psychological Jargon

Well, it's not actually jargon. But hey, it's psychological. Today, I was bored and surfing the web, when I thought, "hmm, I should look up 'ways to tell' and see what comes up." Of course, the top results were  things like "ways to tell her she's gorgeous," or "ways to tell your family you're pregnant." Lord knows I don't need to look that up. But then I added an 'if' after my phrase.
Ways to tell if someone is lying.
Hey, it's something to think about. Can you tell when someone is being honest with you?
Research, ahoy~

That is all.

Frankenstein~

Last night, I was finishing up Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (again) when I decided:

what if I really got into this and made it as exciting to read this as possible?

Of course, Frankenstein has always been one of my favorites, but that's no reason to not make it enjoyable to read. And so, I spent about 10 minutes preparing to make it as awesome as possible.

Step one: apply makeup. Now, that may not seem that important, but I felt that I should make the experience as gothic as possible by applying black lipstick and a maybe little more eyeliner than usual. I will also admit to having some fun with eyeshadow, but that's irrelevant.

Step two: move to a confined area. I chose the closet downstairs. I am claustrophobic, but mostly just for low ceilings (fear of low ceilings doesn't have a specific name, so I just say claustrophobia) so I was okay with this.

Step three: get multiple sources of light (in different colors if you can). I settled on a regular lamp, a red spotlight, and a black light. So that part was awesome.

Step four: get some background music (play softly- -optional). I played some intense classical music that night.

Step five: grab some water. Trust me, you don't want to have to get it when you're reading.

Step six: make your area comfortable, but not fun. In other words, make your space 'livable,' but not necessarily personalized.

And now you're ready to begin your Frankenstein experience!

Stretch out however you choose. You may want to lay down or lean against a wall or something. Get your book (yes, book. Not i-whatever. real paperback/hardback) and position it in front of you. Try to make it so that you get every kind of light reflecting off the paper. Clear your throat and begin to read it out loud. Yes, out loud. This is another reason you may want to have water. Also, hearing it makes it easier to get use to the language style, not to mention it's cool in general. Please don't give the characters high squeaky voices. That would ruin all the hard work you just did to make your reading adventure as epic as mine was. Focus on the story. And enjoy! Feel free to add any of your own effects.

That is all.

Something I'm Excited For

Happy 30th day! It's been awesome doing this, especially with some of my favorite people <3 I'm glad we all followed through with it :)
I'm excited to move this summer. That may be a little odd, considering I've lived in the same house my entire life, but I really can't wait! We are finishing building the house right now, and I got to help with some of the plans. It was really fun. One of my favorite parts of the new house is the fireplace. It's absolutely amazing, though a little hard to describe. It goes all the way to the ceiling, although the fireplace itself (the hole in the wall for the fire) is only a couple feet by a couple feet. Its all stone, but there's no mortar between each rock, so it just looks piled up. Its amazing! I also love my room, which I'm painting grey. I have a window overlooking a lake, and a giant closet  (which I will put to good use). It's gonna be great :)

That is all.

Oh, Lordy.

In Geometry, we have to write a paper, story, poem, or song about quadrilaterals. I couldn't think of anything, and this is what happened, good lord. Enjoy an excerpt from my math paper. And don't copy, because I'm totally using this.

I can’t think what to write and it’s irritating. I wish I could just find every think I ever thought and just put them all in front of me and give them each a black eye for abandoning me in my time of need. I need to write a paper and I don’t know how to write it, so all I can do now is blabber on about how I don’t know what to write. I could waddle over to Hannah and she could help me with a story, all about quadrilaterals and how they have a tough time with life because they’re all squares. Or rather, a bunch of limericks that go something to the effect of:

If I woke up one day a square
Every part of myself would be fair
My sides would be same
90° is my aim
My diagonals would bisect an angle pair.

But hey, I can’t because a.) She’s not here, and b.) My brain won’t go, and it doesn’t listen to reason. I’d like to write a story, maybe. About parallelograms in general, I guess, but the main character (a rectangle) picks a fight with a rhombus. It might have gone something like this:

Five weird things I like

1. Pineapple. This may not seem odd out of context, but I'm allergic to pineapple, so.......

2. I drink out of a bowl sometimes. Some people *coughcoughAtacough* think I do it just because I like it, but it's mostly because I don't really trust the cups in the cafeteria, especially when they're all separated and already wet. They're not always like that, I was jus' saying'.

3. Almost every kind of music. Most people stick to a few genres, but I like them all. If you doubt me, just look at my iTunes library on my computer. It's pretty diverse. I pretty much just don't like what's coming out recently because of the lyrics, the music itself isn't always bad. For example, I would like Katy Perry a lot more if all of her songs weren't about having sex.

4. I like to drink coca-cola ONLY after it's been shot with a pellet gun. I dunno, it just tastes better that way.

5. I LOVE TO FANGIRL. I do it allllll the time, even if the thing I'm fangirling over was created by me (usually after I design a character for Iris). Yay fangirl~

Living spaces

I think I've said something about this in a previous post, I want to live in a big city like Chicago or NYC. I like the "hustle and bustle" of those kinds of places. But I would be okay with staying in Texas :)

That is all.

  • She's not very good at HTML.
  • She's kind of amazing.
  • She has money in her backpack and I'm tempted to steal it (but I won't, because that'd be bad.
  • She has really fancy markers.
  • She has good taste in...pretty much everything.
  • She draws my characters!!!!! I fangirl a lot
  • She's really pretty .3.
  • She enjoys Gravity Falls and Adventure Time.
  • I've known her for like ten years, so yeah.

Iris o.o

I'm not even sure what to say. The epitome of self loathing and narcissism (because she's a writer). She's pretty much just awesome. Here are some of her bullet points:
•likes most animes/mangas I introduce her to (which is nice)
•is pretty much the only one to ever comment on my blog (I appreciate that she does, but I like comments a lot and I wish others would too...)
•is incredibly funny
•is also an active procrastinator
•gets all of my manga hand-me-downs
•gets all fangirl-y when I draw a character of her book, it's so funny (and also kind of adorable)
•likes Adventure Time and Gravity Falls (yay!)
•can appreciate the awesome that is cosplay (which can be awesome, except when it's not)
•hates strawberries and pineapple
•makes references at the same time as me (usually in unison)

That is all.

Ata :|

Moar pplz! Ata:

-is more likely to say "what" then anything else

-hates hugs (mostly)
-rarely gives people high-fives
-plays Minecraft

KK~

I decided that because I wrote a post about Yourfavoritemexican, I'd write about all the other regularly-mentioned-people. So here's to KK :)

-She's one of the sweetest girls you will meet. Seriously.
-She's cute, in more ways than one
-She is a very gifted designer and seamstress (she makes the dresses she designs)
-She giggles and smiles a lot and makes people feel happy
-Like most healthy teenage girls, she likes cute boys
-She enjoys wearing bright colors and looks especially good in turquoise (in my "professional" opinion)
-Like most of my friends, she plays Minecraft.

Her blog is http://kkbran8life.weebly.com/index.html, so go czech it out!

Love you girlie :)

That is all.

Yourfavoritemexican

He wanted to be added to my A-Z life. And to do that, he had to be mentioned a substantial amount. So here's a bullet list about Yourfavoritemexican.
-He's mexican (clearly)
-He likes to be recognized (also clearly)
-He enjoys being called a hottie biscotti
-He had glasses, and then he got contacts, but he's been wearing glasses again for about a week (I'm not really sure why)
-He is fluent in both english and spanish, but doesn't really help people with their spanish homework (even if they ask)
-He likes acting, and I totally think he should join my class, even if he'd be the only guy there
-He has pretty nice hair.

...

Yup, I have nothing else to say about him.

Better go add him to my A-Z.

That is all.

Topic choice #4

According to the ostrich that lives under my bed, nighttime is a very good place for your brain to never shut up. Last night, I finished watching all the Lizzie Bennet series (thus far-- another one comes out today!) and I afterwards, I was up for about another thirty minutes just laying there and thinking about how Darcy and Lizzie were made for each other and wondering how Jane and Bing get back together. Also hating George for being a *bleep*. At other times, I'll be basically roleplaying in my head scenes from movies or things I want (or really DON'T want) to happen. It's kind of cool and kind of irritating, especially when I just want to sleep. I'll be thinking of the people I don't see very often, or maybe braining over the food I want to have for breakfast. I mentally write a letter or post a paragraph. My brain works really fast, making sure I never run out of things to think about. And sometimes I think of something absolutely ~brilliant~! and so I have to get up and write it down so that I won't forget it by the morning. I dunno, I'm pretty sure this happens to everyone. What do you think about before you fall asleep?

That is all.

Likes/dislikes about me.

Might as well start with the bad.

What I don't like about myself:

I can be really loud. I'm pretty loud most of the time. I don't try to be, I just am.

I can be extremely outspoken, which people can find irritating or offensive. I figure it's better to tell them what I find unattractive about them then to just pretend like there's nothing wrong. I'm not always blunt about it though, I just try to make sure they know in one way or another. I guess I don't always dislike it, just sometimes when it causes trouble.

I procrastinate. That's not good.

I can't always be there. I hate that. I hate it when I can't do something to help the people I love. They really mean a lot to me. I don't particularly enjoy seeing them get hurt.

What I like about myself:

My hair is awesome. A lot of other people think so too. It's strawberry blonde-- honey colored. It's also really thick, and there's a whole lot of it. There's a lot of things I can do with it.

I can read really fast. This comes in handy sometimes, because I can get really absorbed in a book, but it doesn't take all that long for me to finish (it's about 1-3 pages per minute, depending on the font size and how much I love it). I try to take more time for school books so I can focus more on every word.

I am really good at memorizing things. I used to be able to recite the entire 7th Harry Potter [book] at will. I can't do all of it anymore, but I still know parts. I also can memorize a monologue in around 15 minutes and remember pretty much all of it for around a week.

I'm really creative, but also pretty realistic. This helps a lot with when I design things, because I can think of really cool things that are actually possible to do.

I'm good at figuring things out. This helps when mum or dad have an odd job for me.

I'm pretty likable (in general). I respect all people to a certain degree, and unless we have some kind of rivalry, I'll do my best to be polite to you. Unless you're my close friend, because then there's no holding back ;D you get all my taunts <3 Love ya'll~

Feel free to add your own thoughts.

That is all.

Worry

Probably the thing I worry about most is will my dad approve?

Will he like my new shirt?

Will he enjoy my new piano piece?

Will he think my drawing is good?

Will he approve of the TV show I recently started watching?

Will he think my writing is good?

Will he think I look nice?

Will he he make the time to read this book I like to see if it's really as good as I say?

The answer to the last one is I don't know, because he's reading Game of Thrones. He doesn't like it, but he's stubborn enough to make him feel like he has to finish it.

I love my dad. I know he loves me. But I really value his opinion. It was actually kind of hard for me to write this.

Also, if you're wondering what book I'm recommending, it's called The Outsiders and it's by S.E. Hinton. It's really good, and it's actually less than 200 pages (so it's a short read). My favorite characters are probably Johnnycake (thats his nickname) and Darry. To Iris: I'm bringing it to school tomorrow (if I remember), so please give it a good read through :)

That is all.

Future?

I'm not really a very active planner, so I'm not sure about anything. All I'm sayin' is we BETTER have flying cars. According to the 70's, we're supposed to have them RIGHT NOW.
But seriously, considering I don't know what I want to do with my life, this could be hard. I guess I want to be a middle-class citizen living in Chicago, Illinois. Probably in a condo. That sounds nice. But New York City would also be awesome. I like big cities. I would be okay with staying in Texas though. I like it here.
No matter where I am, I would want to be able to see my family often (or at least multiple times a year). This sounds like not a lot, but if I lived across the country from the Lone Star State, seeing them more than that would be difficult.
I think I want to be an editor for a publishing company. I can seriously edit the tuna out of things. Editing books for a living sounds awesome. But I would also be cool with interior design. Or architecture. Or illustrating. Or stage acting. Or open a small business. There are a lot of things that interest me.
I have quite a few colleges in mind, because I don't know what I want to do. The top ones are:
           Texas A&M
           The Art Institute
           Northwestern Univ.
I'll probably end up going to none of those though, because I don't know what I want to do.
I want to have been in Victor/Victoria (the musical), because I just love it. It's hilarious.
I want to edit the carp out of everything Iris writes. I know she won't let me. But I want to. I'm not 100% sure why she won't let me edit anything she writes now. She says she wants to send it in to a professional editor, but why can't I do it as well? I dunno.

Just mushing all of those things together, I think it sounds pretty grand.

That is all.

Ata

So YOU'RE the reason why I'm getting so many page views. I feel like that's cheating though.

So here's the thing people;
Ata has my blog pulled up on his iPad, and doesn't always close out of it. Which means it gets refreshed every time he opens up safari. Which is often.

I'm not sure whether to be happy or irritated.

I guess I'll be neutral, then.

That is all.

I am afraid of

I have an irrational fear of people I don't know, or know very well, touching my hair. It just freaks me out, I absolutely hate it. I don't even particularly like people I do know messing with my hair.

I am also claustrophobic [mostly low ceilings] and arachnophobic. Iris has seen this in action. It can be pretty bad. I don't particularly want to go into detail.

That is all.

A problem I have

It's extremely hard for me to focus, pretty much no matter what. This causes problems; lots of them. Especially at school. But I've found some things that help me with that. One of those is caffeine. For most people, it gives energy. It helps me concentrate on whatever it is I need to do. Another thing that helps is for me to listen to music; specifically, Paolo Nutini's album "These Streets." I have no idea why, but I'm happy about it.

That is all.

Pride

I'm proud of the fact that I'm a soprano. I get to hit all the super high notes that make people either make people impressed or cause them to cringe. I dunno, I just think it's cool that I can do that.

What if?

What if I met myself (not knowing it was me)? Would I get along with me? Might I even hate myself? I feel like I would annoy the crap out of myself. I dunno, just a thought.

Aries!

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this!! The highlighted things are what I believe I'm like.

Aries
March 21 - April 19

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and that's pretty much how those born under this sign see themselves: first. Aries are the leaders of the pack, first in line to get things going. Whether or not everything gets done is another question altogether, for an Aries prefers to initiate rather than to complete. The leadership displayed by Aries is most impressive, so don't be surprised if they can rally the troops against seemingly insurmountable odds [sometimes] -- they have that kind of personal magnetism. An Aries won't shy away from new ground, either. Those born under this sign are often called the pioneers of the zodiac, and it's their fearless trek into the unknown that often wins the day. Aries is a bundle of energy and dynamism, kind of like a Pied Piper, leading people along with its charm and charisma. The dawning of a new day -- and all of its possibilities -- is pure bliss to an Aries.

The symbol of Aries is the Ram, and that's both good and bad news. Impulsive Aries might be tempted to ram their ideas down everyone's throats without even bothering to ask if they want to know [sorry, guys]. It's these times when you may wish Aries' symbol were a more subdued creature, more lamb than ram perhaps. You're not likely to convince the Ram to soften up; these folks are blunt and to the point. Along with those qualities comes the sheer force of the Aries nature, a force that can actually accomplish a great deal. Much of Aries' drive to compete and to win comes from its Cardinal Quality. Cardinal Signs love to get things going, and Aries exemplifies this even better than Cancer, Libra or Capricorn.

Aries is ruled by Mars. Taking a peek at Roman mythology, we find that Mars was the God of War. Our man Mars was unafraid to do battle, and much the same can be said for Aries. These folks are bold, aggressive and courageous. They can summon up the inner strength required to take on most anyone, and they'll probably win. Aries do not lack energy or vitality, and they can stay in the game longer than most anyone else. Now that's a winning edge. Rams are also, for the most part, independent and well aware of their own interests in a given situation. This sometimes myopic view may not be for everyone, but it does help Aries get things going. Further, their competitive natures ensure that they will play the game with zeal and vigor. At times, their approach may be construed as arrogant and domineering, but it takes a lot of focus to be a leader (or so an Aries would say). Sadly, Aries won't usually be around for the final victory (defeat? never). These folks will more than likely have bolted to the next project before the first one is done.
The element associated with Aries is Fire. Think action, enthusiasm and a burning desire to play the game. Aries love physicality, so they won't sit on the sidelines for long, if at all. They'll jump into the fray full force and will contribute much in the process. Sure, some of their decisions may later prove to have been hasty, but you'll never find an Aries who regretted taking a shot.

Making things happen is what it's all about to these folks. Aries are also unafraid of stepping onto new terrain. The challenge inherent in taking on the unknown is heaven on Earth for Rams. Sure, they may appear arrogant when they take on the world, but they'll be quick to tell you it's the only way to go. While a common Aries refrain might well be 'me first,' there's no point in arguing with them since, in their minds, they are first. Is this unbridled ego? Maybe, but that might be what it takes to blaze a new trail. Oh, and on the subject of arguing, it's the Ram who will have the last word, so save your breath [no kidding].

Aries plays as hard as they work. These folks are happiest in a spirited soccer match or engaging in the martial arts. In the game of love, the Ram's ardor is unquestioned, although Aries can also be playful and romantic with their mate. With Aries ruling the head, face and brain, those born under this sign need to be on the lookout for headaches and are well-served to take the occasional deep breath. The Ram's color is bright red, a sure sign of the fire that breathes within.

The great strength of the Aries-born is in their initiative, courage and determination. These folks love to get things going and are fearless along the way. Their dynamism and competitive spirit add considerably to any of their endeavors.
